At Moves Manager, we are always seeking ways to make your moving day happen with greater efficiency and much less stress; therefore, we’ve put together a helpful list of information and advice to get you moving.
CLEAR ACCESS
When moving day arrives, be sure to keep a clear path for our removals team, so they have clear access all hallways and porches by removing any pictures from the walls, coat hooks and shoe racks it allows to load your items quicker and get you moving.
LEAVE A PARKING SPACE OUTSIDE OF THE PROPERTY
It’s vital you leave as much parking outside the front of your property as possible. One space is excellent, but two would be fantastic for the size of vehicle we use. The less distance we have to travel to load the goods gets you on your way sooner.
PREPARATION, PREPARATION, PREPARATION!
By preparing a box manifest and floor plan for the new property and supplying it to us it beforehand can make a considerable difference to the effectiveness of the move. Parcels that are clearly labelled, not overloaded and neatly stacked allows us to move you quicker.

HAVE A BOX OF ESSENTIALS ON HAND
Moving day is a long, drawn-out day, so having a few snacks and drinks can help keep your fuelled and hydrated. It’s also beneficial to have a First Aid kit nearby in case of any accidents to yourself, or your friendly removals team.
INFORM YOUR NEIGHBOURS
Showing some courtesy and advising your neighbours of your imminent move can go a long way. They can then expect some noise and even some possible disruption, but by making them aware, they may need to pop in to lend a hand.
